Hi there, First off, a big hug and a big THANK YOU for taking time out of your busy day to visit my blog! Seriously, it means a lot to me, so thanks for stopping by and giving us a chance to get to know each other!
If you don't know yet, I live in Miami, Fl. But the place where my heart lives, where I was born is Puerto Rico. That's where I go to recharge my soul. Although these trips are usually shorter than I would like, they are the most important trips of the year for me.
I became a passionate traveler and discovered the love of visiting beautiful places in my own backyard growing as kid. Puerto Rico is filled with beauty and wonders all around. But I formally started traveling and fell under the spell of adventure travel 25 years ago with my husband, a professional working in the travel industry.
In the early years of our marriage we started an uphill marathon trying to have kids. We went through so many fertility treatments, countless disappointments, a lot of pain but the one thing that would always help us get back on our feet after a fertility heartbreak was taking a special trip.
As the years went by we kept trying and trying… with every new treatment that failed came a new trip. But since all fertility treatments were extremely expensive we had to rely on learning the art of budget travel. Travel plans became our hobby activity. Looking for the most cheap flights in the lowest season possible. With the years I became an expert on creating the most epic adventures at the cheapest prices we could afford in the shortest time. Travel hacking became my thing.
Having kids was not in the cards for us, and that its okay. We are blessed with plenty of nieces and nephews. Our hearts feel at peace with that part of our lives.
Travel has filled our lives with a vision of the world that is wide open and free. We’ve seen opulence ,but also poverty and misery. Places that look like a movie from the future and others that define the word destruction. We've seen it all and for that, I'm grateful.
Your support helps me keep creating FREE resources like itineraries, guides and access to all my maps to help you and everyone in this community travel better and more often.
So, if you like my content you can always support me in different ways. If you don't know by now, i don't drink coffee, but Im always down for a sip of Celsius!
Thanks for being part of this journey!
